Program overview

The DEV Company (“TDC”) uses a single toll-free number to deliver identity verification codes, platform health alerts, and other transactional notices to employees, contractors, and authorized clients. No promotional or marketing traffic is ever sent. Opt-in is required before any message is delivered.

How to provide consent

  • Text-based opt in. Reply START to our dedicated toll-free line (the same number listed in your onboarding email or service order) to register your device. We immediately confirm enrollment and explain how to opt out.
  • Written authorization on TDC forms. Every secure intake or contact form on thedevcompany.com includes an I agree to receive SMS notifications from The DEV Company checkbox. Submitting the form with that box checked explicitly grants consent for the phone number you provide.
  • Documented request to support. You may email support@thedevcompany.com from an authorized domain and ask us to add or remove an SMS contact. We store that request as proof of consent.

We do not add numbers automatically. Every method above produces an auditable record that Twilio can review if a carrier requests proof.

What you will receive

  • Login or account recovery verification codes
  • Infrastructure or compliance alerts that require immediate action
  • Scheduling or escalation notices requested by you or your team lead

Typical volume is fewer than five (5) messages per week. Frequency may temporarily increase during incident response or when you request multiple one-time passwords.

Opt-out & help commands

  • STOP — Immediately removes your number and halts all future texts. You can re-enroll at any time using the opt-in methods above.
  • HELP — Returns contact information and a reminder of these terms.

Fees, privacy, and expectations

  • Message and data rates may apply depending on your mobile plan.
  • Your information is handled according to our Privacy Policy and Terms of Service.
  • We only send transactional and operational content. No advertising, lead generation, or giveaways are delivered over this channel.
  • If you believe a message was sent in error, forward it to abuse@thedevcompany.com so we can investigate immediately.
